30 years??? Are you kidding me?

Have not been in CA since shortly after graduation from San Jose State in 1988. I spent 22 years on Active Duty in the Army as a UH-1H Huey and UH-60L Blackhawk helicopter pilot. We have lived in Alabama, Hawaii, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia; along with 2 tours in Afghanistan. I retired from the Army in May 2010 and came back to work as a government civilian working at the Pentagon. Kelly and I will be married 22 years in September and we have three great kids. Travis, 14 is finishing his freshman year in high school and is a great forward in ice hockey and attack in lacrosse and wants to go to the Air Force Academy and fly jets. Kyle, 11 is finishing 5th grade and is a tenacious hockey and lacrosse defenseman and wants to be a hockey player. Megan, 7 is finishing 1st grade and like her brothers, is also playing hockey and lacrosse and wants to be a veterinarian. Kelly is an Intensive Care Nurse in Manassas, VA and helps manage the crazy schedule we keep. I work as a Combat Developments Integration Analyst for the Department of the Army, actually working at the Pentagon. In addtion to trying to keep up with the kids, I play in an adult ice hockey league. We moved to Northern Virginia in 2006 and stayed here while I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2008-2009 and after I retired in 2010, we moved a grand total of 1.1 miles to our current home. Anyone coming to the DC Metro area is more than welcome and highly encouraged to drop me a line to get together, whether you need a tour guide (to include coming and visiting the Pentagon) or want to get together for drinks or dinner. I am looking forward to visting with everyone and catching up with friends...some of you I have known close to 40 years - is that even possible we could be this old???
